Is glass liquid or solid? I heard a little debate about this one day in a stained glass class. Our instuctor informed us that there was this debate about glass. According to my instructor when old stained glass pieces are repaired they are often tear shaped when you look at them from the side. Meaning the glass goes from thin to think. So does this mean the molecules actually continue to move? I don’t know. What I do know is that it is fascinating to work with fused glass.
All of the pieces shown above are made by fusing glass to a temperature between 1300 and 1500 degrees.
